Apple picking

Last weekend we had a lovely day in the hills, and went apple picking. We have always gone strawberry picking every summer, and have realised that the apples are ripening just as the strawberries are finishing.

It's at the most amazing orchard, where the owner just stands there on weekends measuring apples on the back of his truck, charging $1.20-$1.50/kg. It looks like the trees have never been pruned and some are completely laden with apples, both on branches and all over the ground.

If you are an Adelaide resident, it's on Hollidays Rd, Summertown, and operates weekends from 11am. If you're not - I'm sorry, but if you come visit - you can eat your heart out!
