I have just returned from a lovely, encouraging weekend away.
It was the 'ES Wives' weekend away. That is, the four wives/fiances of the university ministry staff team that my husband works with. It was the inaugural event - first time ever.
While a few of us have caught up in various ways over the years, this is the first time we are an official group. We meet together fortnightly to pray for one another and decided to have 3 days away together.
It was a very encouraging time, we shared in depth about things to praise God for from the past year and things to pray for in the coming year. We had a think about what it means to be a ministry wife, especially one whose husband is in uni ministry.
We had great food, some fun op-shopping, some DVDs and were blessed to be able to stay in wonderful accommodation, provided by a uni/church contact. What a view!
I am thrilled to be part of this group of women, and we hope, God willing, that our little group will grow in years to come.
